My exams are finishing soon and then there will be a big party for all the pupils in a hotel near my school. However, my friends and I want to go to a restaurant together instead of going to the party because it is much cheaper and we prefer to be in a smaller group. My brother finished his exams last year and he didn’t go to the party either.

 

Pronto van a terminar mis exámenes y luego habrá una gran fiesta para todos los alumnos en un hotel que está cerca de mi instituto. Sin embargo, mis amigos y yo queremos ir a un restaurante juntos en vez de ir a la fiesta porque es mucho más barato y preferimos estar en un grupo más pequeño. Mi hermano terminó sus exámenes el año pasado y él tampoco fue a la fiesta.

instead of going to the party = en vez de ir a la fiesta

because it is much cheaper = porque es mucho más barato

and we prefer to be in a smaller group. = y preferimos estar en un grupo más pequeño.
